The Different Types of Classes

You can choose the type of lesson you want at the Red Cross based on your schedule and/or learning style. We presently offer three different types of classes:

Our in-person first aid courses mix lecture with hands-on skills training and are delivered in a regular classroom format. The course concludes with testing, after which participants will be awarded a two-year certificate.

These self-paced online courses can help you comprehend first aid best practises by providing virtual teaching. Online courses, on the other hand, do not allow you to show your skill mastery to a licenced teacher, thus your certification may not exceed occupational safety criteria.

Our blended learning programmes, which include award-winning simulation learning, mix self-paced, interactive training with in-person skills sessions. You can learn on your own time and then demonstrate your skills to a professional instructor in a blended learning course.
